SS16 Beach Fashion - my visit to Futah store@Campo Ourique

Algures entre a tradicional e pesada toalha de praia e as levíssimas cangas, encontramos as "nossas" Futah. Digo "nossas" porque esta é uma marca portuguesa que é caso de sucesso!  Brasil, Chile, Suiça, Alemanha, Austrália, Dubai, Cabo Verde e Angola. A Futah já alegra as areias dos 5 continentes!

Sempre tive um problema com as tradicionais toalhas de praia. Nunca consegui encontrar toalhas que achasse particularmente giras e quando encontrava eram absurdamente caras. E pesadas. Isto porque as tradicionais toalhas, as de melhor qualidade (e normalmente com melhor design) eram também mais pesadas. E demoram a secar. E são volumosas! Conseguem imaginar o que é ir de férias e ter de colocar na mala toalhas de praia para 4, sendo que uma tem de ter tamanho que sirva ao homem de 1,92m cá da casa? Pois eu também não :-) Recusava-me. Sempre usei as toalhas colocadas ao nosso dispor.  Talvez por isso nunca tenha prestado atenção a esta nova "onda"...

Mas despertei! :-D Fiquei encantada com o conceito. Uma toalha leve, pouco volumosa, de 100% algodão, fácil de secar e com design!  Querem melhor? Eu não. :-) Tinha andado a explorar o site da marca (podem ver e até comprar online aqui, embora não tenha todos os modelos disponíveis) mas resolvi dar um saltinho à loja de Campo de Ourique para as ver "ao vivo e a cores". E são fabulosas! Agora, o problema é mesmo escolher quais trazer...

Ora vejam lá se não tenho razão.

Esta foi a figurinha que fiz à saída da loja! Mais parecia que ido comprar pão em vez de toalhas de praia... :-D

Somewhere in between the traditional and heavy beach towels and the super light weighted "Cangas" (a kindof Sarong) we may find our Futah. I say "our" because this is a Portuguese brand and a very successful one! Brazil, Chile, Switzerland, Germany,  Australia, Dubai, green Cape and Angola. We may see Futah beach towels on the sands of the 5 continents!

I always had a problem with those traditional beach towels. I could never find one I thought to look super nice and cool, and if I did find one I liked you bet it was expensive to the point I thought it didn´t made sense. On top of, they were heavy. Those towels, the better the heavier. And they didn´t dry fast. And they were voluminous!  Can you imagine what´s like to pack for holidays, beach towels for 4 when one of them had to be big enough to suit the 1,92m man of the house? Well, I don´t! I refused to. That´s why we always used those they offered for our service. And maybe that´s why I wasn´t paying attention to this big trend...

But I´m awake now!  :-D I´m trilled with the concept of it. A beach towel that´s light weighted, non-voluminous, 100% cotton, dries fast and with gorgeous designs!  What more could one want?  :-) After exploring the brand´s website (you may also shop online in here, yet not all options are available online) but I decided for a visit to the store to see them live. They´re fabulous! Now, the problem is to choose which one(s) to bring home...
